So I sorta abandoned my LJ now that my AC:CF friends have moved on (HINT HINT HINT). Note to self: send out nudges.

Had emergency surgery; my mother visited, which was awesome as I had not seen her in 2 years; got slammed with $40k in medical bills; Boyfriend bought a house with his mother where we now live; got a new laptop; my car disappeared into thin air. That's my 2009 in a nutshell.

Anywho, bout that laptop.....

  • 16" Screen - resolution is 1366x768 wtf?
  • 4 GB Memory
  • 320 GB Hard Disk
  • Nvidia GE Force GT 120M Graphics card with 1GB Dedicated Video Memory
  • Shiny pinstriped casing - sleek and sexy.
Sims 2 looks awesome on this - then again, this laptop was bought specifically so I could play Sims 2 on it. That, and downloading everything Sims 2 related that I can get my grubby little paws on. The graphics are amazing - for the first time in the 5 years that I have been playing Sims 2, I can see reflections on the water! I'm constantly purging stuff from my game that I have downloaded because the texture qualities on some of the stuff is so poor. I'm very happy that I discovered the hair section over at GoS - I don't know what I would do if I was stuck with the original textures the paywhores slap on their meshes.
